'Amber Embrace' is an interpretation of a journey from above Elterwater through the Langdale Valley during Autumn – my favourite time in the Lakes. I love this beautiful spot, and have enjoyed countless walks through this breathtaking scene. As we arrived, we were greeted by a mesmerising sea of amber, burnt oranges and rusty reds. The vibrancy of it was jaw dropping. I paused at the bench in silence, felt the energy from the land, the majestic mountains, cool breeze and gentle presense of sheep near me. It felt like I was wrapped in a warm Autumnal embrace. In that moment, joy and a profound sense of freedom surged within me. It is this tranquil yet electric amber moment I sought to capture in this painting.
