“Winter Kaleidoscope” - Grasmere looking to Windermere represents the ever changing array of colours experienced from this viewpoint in the Lake District. Two days prior to the day this picture was taken, the landscape was blanketed in the stark beauty of snow which had settled on Christmas Day. Standing here, at this viewpoint, one may ponder how proud Mother Nature is of her true colours, the re-emergence of her beauty and complexity after being hidden by the monochrome effect of the snow, perhaps her sense of relief too. One may also reflect on how this connect to self and our awareness of our very own kaleidoscope of colours.
