“Scatterings of Morvoren” represents a wild beach near Portscatho. Standing here I pondered the changing tide and the scatterings of seaweed designed across the pristine beach. I imagined a Cornish mermaid (morvoren) encouraging the waves to throw seaweed onto the shore in a decorative manor, a sense of fun and playfulness between ocean and mermaid as she giggles… safe and nurtured by the sway of the waves and caressing seaweed dancing below her. Painted with pallet knife and fingers.
