“Rooted in Reflection” is a tribute to the beauty of the trees around Blea Tarn in The Lake District. There is a profound spiritual sense of time and strength of survival here – one which I felt whilst being in, connecting with and painting this location. The tree roots stretch down to the tarn, familiar, like best friends, they’re blanketed in moss – warm and nurtured. Walking around the tarn, within the woodland, one can sense the aliveness of the trees and all that live with them. There is also a sense of deep peace and love within this beautiful place.
