Subconscious
“Subconscious” is a creative interpretation of Blea Tarn looking towards the Langdales in the Lake District. I allowed the painting to take me on an adventure, navigated by my subconscious mind. My thoughts, feelings, memories and desires are reflected in the vibrant journey across the mountainous background, within the calming waters of the tarn and through the foliage of the foreground, which I created with natural materials (grasses and twigs). My technique, unexplained, simply that which happened in the moment, inspired from another space. Dreamlike. Tapping into my subconscious shaped this painting and left me with the satisfaction that what has been created is in fact exactly how I feel when I stand here at this most beautiful place.
