‘The Journey’ is a representation of a stroll around Pitch Hill in the Surrey Hills with my family. Whilst walking through the stillness of the trees, my imagination and curiosity sparked. Spotting and enquiring into hidden plants, symbolic of untapped potential in life, each step off the path and into the undergrowth mirrored progress towards self-discovery. The glorious sun breaking through the canopy, moments of clarity illuminated my mind and soul. The natural world I was within became a metaphor for my inner exploration, reminding me that growth, like nature, is an ever-unfolding process and that the individual paths which we are travelling are simply a guide. To discover deeper meaning and beauty, we must venture into the undergrowth.
